MOL Launches New CM4, CM5 and CM6 Services for Asia-Middle East

Press Release Summary: LONDON, 12 March 2008 - Today, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President: Akimitsu Ashida) announced the introduction of three new Asia-Middle East services. The new CM4, CM5 and CM6 services will be effective as of April 2008.
Press Release Body: Today, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President: Akimitsu Ashida) announced the introduction of three new Asia-Middle East services. The new CM4, CM5 and CM6 services will be effective as of April 2008.
The new CM4 service will offer direct connections from main ports in South Korea, Taiwan, and South China to the U.A.E (Jebel Ali) and Pakistan (Karachi). The new CM5 service will offer direct links between major ports in China (Xingang, Qingdao, Shanghai, and Ningbo) to the U.A.E. (Jebel Ali). The new CM6 service will offer unique coverage with direct service from South China (Nansha and Yantian) to Saudi Arabia (Damman), Iran (Bandar Abbas), and the U.A.E. (Jebel Ali). The potential for this market is large, and demand is expected to be high.
With these three additional services, MOL will further enhance its direct services and provide a stable environment for cargo traffic from Asia to the Middle East. MOL will also be able to offer the fastest transit times available from Japan to the Middle East, utilising its own Intra-Asia network.
Along with the current CMI, CM2, and CM3 services, MOL network services for the Middle East will increase to six per week, giving MOL customers the widest range of options among all shipping carriers.
MOL will continue to provide premium services designed to meet specific customer needs.
